Getting Connected

Dear Listeners,

Let’s be in touch more than once a week.

Radio Boston is working on its communication skills.  Although I am by no means alone, I have taken on the challenge of reaching out to veteran listeners, new listeners, and prospective listeners via Twitter.  Let me be honest: I’m a newbie but I’m already addicted.

This morning I tweeted as Jane Clayson, Senior Producer Mark Navin, and Technical Director Tim Skoog were out in Dudley Square taping the opening segment for this Friday’s broadcast.  While there, Jane did some interviews with folks in the area about their feelings regarding next week’s mayoral election.

Tweeting may seem like a small thing but it is part of something larger.  I want you to be able to tune in to Twitter throughout the week and watch our process.  How do we get an idea? Flesh it out? Develop it? We also want you to ask your questions.  Do you think we should focus on one aspect or another? Are we missing a specific angle?  Are we being fair? Do we like milk with our coffee?

But remember, it is a two-way street.  If we don’t get feedback, we don’t know what you’re thinking.

So do be in touch.

hasta pronto,

Jessica
